Ingredients:
- 1.) 1 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar, 2/3 c. butter, 1/4 c. + 2 Tbsp. light corn syrup
- 10 (1 3/4” thick) slices French bread
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 3 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 1/2 c. milk or half & half
- 1 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla extract
- 1/4 c. melted butter
Directions:
Combine ingredients in number 1 in a medium saucepan: cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, 5 minutes or until mixture is bubbly. Pour syrup evenly into a lightly greased 13”x9”x2” baking dish. Arrange bread slices over syrup. Combine eggs, milk, vanilla & salt stir well. Gradually pour mixture over bread slices. Cover & chill at least 8 hrs. Take out 30 min. before cooking. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine: the 3 Tbsp. of sugar & cinnamon & sprinkle over bread. Drizzle the 1/4 c. melted butter on top. Bake for 35 to 45 minutes. Enjoy! (P.S.
